GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARSHIP/GRANT

New Applicants
  1. Honorific Scholarship
    1. Certification that the applicant is a valedictorian or salutatorian.
    2. Certificate of good moral character.
    3. Photocopy of the report card.


  2. Academic Scholarship
  3.      Certification from the Registrar’s office signifying that the student- applicant’s GPA of the Previous semester is 1.6 or above, and that his/her academic load is the normal load of the course per semester.

  4. Barangay Scholarship
    1. Certificate of incumbency of the council member
    2. Certification as to the council member’s only dependent child enrolled in a state college/university

    Photocopy of the following documents:
    • applicant’s birth certificate
    • Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or incumbent
    • applicant’s report card
    • certificate of Good Moral Character
    • NSO birth certificate


  5. SK Scholarship
    1. Certificate of incumbency of the SK
    2. Report card/previous rating
    3. Certificate of good moral character
    4. Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate


  6. Employee Dependent
    1. Certification from the SLSU-SJ Administrative Officer that the student-applicant is a dependent of an employee of SLSU and that there is only one child who will avail per semester.
    2. Applicant’s report card/previous report of rating
    3. Applicant’s certificate of good moral character.


  7. Special Scholarship for Varsity Players
  8.      Special scholarship is granted to those enrolled students with special talents/abilities
         Free tuition fee (100%) is granted to students who won gold, silver, and bronze awards in at least regional sports competition.
         Athletes who qualified and participated but lost during regional competition can avail of 50% free tuition fee.
         Grantee must maintain a GPA of 2.5.

  9. Performing Arts
  10.      Members of Cultural Affairs, Glee Club, etc. will also enjoy special scholarships in accordance with the Guidelines and Policies approved by the Board of Regents.

  11. School Publication and Supreme Student Council (SSC)
  12.      As recommended by the advisers, three members of the Editorial Staff of the Official student publication. For elected SSC officers, availment of full scholarship shall be based on student population which is one scholar to 100 students (1:100).

  13. Other Government and Private Agencies Scholarship Grants
  14.       The scholarship/grant usually provides the recipients with free tuition fees and other forms of assistance the sponsoring parties may extend.

DESCRIPTION OF FUND – GENERATION SCHEME FOR SCHOLARS

  1. SLSU-SJ founded/privileged scholars and Barangay grantees are free of tuition fees. Scholars need only to present certification from LGOO office and availment approved by the scholarship coordinator.
  2. Scholarship funded by other government agencies such as CHED, Congressional, One-Town-One-Scholar, and TESDA will need a billing addressed to their office basis for their payment to the cashier.
  3. Other private agencies and NGOs will also need billing and their office personnel pay to the cashier.
